Leave No Trace

Please research any area where you plan to stay or travel and familiarize yourself with any guidelines you may need to abide by (especially those regarding fires and camping. Here is a general overview of the Seven “Leave No Trace Principles”

  • Plan ahead and prepare.
  • Travel and camp on durable surfaces.
  • Dispose of waste properly.
  • Leave what you find.
  • Minimize campfire impacts (where allowed!).
  • Respect wildlife.
  • Be considerate of other visitors.


Keep ’em on a leash if you love them. Be aware of your surroundings. Pick up after your pet companions. Know where you are allowed to bring your fury friends and where you are not. Check dog policy’s for any section of the trail you plan on using.
